I spent 5 hours this morning activating my service plan on a new xiaomi rednote 4 and diligently told all of my numbers to 3 different people. Texting worked, data worked, and calling did not work.

I was unable to make outbound calls. After 4 hours of compliance I was getting perturbed and asked to speak with a supervisor about a refund of a $40 service plan. I patiently went through the same troubleshooting procedure again and ultimately still was unable to make calls. I asked for a refund and was repeatedly told that that was not possible by the "supervisor".

She continued to try to direct me to trying to further troubleshoot with T-mobile network. I had other things to do after 2 hours of troubleshooting and 3 hours on the phone. I wanted a simple $40 refund of a basic plan that was obviously not interfacing with the cell towers due to software issues in recognizing the phone. Thus unable to make calls or use the service I wanted a total or partial refund and was repeatedly refused from the supervisor.

A complete failure of customer service. During this experience I had to enter and re-enter or repeat my IMEI number, my SIM number, my Airtime pin number, and my phone number. There was no reference number function in their software system and no interface from their website assistance and their phone assistance. I am usually very patient and understanding of customer assistance.

I ultimately lost my temper and informed them that they have completely failed at customer service and compliance. I patiently went through 4 hours of troubleshooting with ultimately the phone not working and my trials were not recognized by the supervisor, were not acknowledged as taking up my time, and ultimately my requests were disregarded under canned responses to refund requests. I followed due diligence and was highly compliant. This company has terrible service and has terrible networking.

They are sharking and racketeering a flawed telecom system in America and get away with it due to absurd usage programs that have you pay for a service whether it works or not and to pay for that service before you find out if it works.

I'm sure I am one of many who has been scalped $40-$60 dollars for finding out that the Simple mobile service does not work on my device and finding out that Simple mobile is simply a *** company. I hope they get sued.
